WHO WE ARE
Amy Willoughby
CPDT-KA
AKC CGC® Approved Evaluator
Fear-Free Shelter Certified
Amy began her journey in dog training at a local animal shelter. She was responsible for the care of homeless animals combating behavioral issues compounded by environmental stress. Amy’s endless drive to educate herself on the inner workings of a dog’s brain allowed her to assist dogs struggling with shyness, fear, reactivity, boredom and anxiety. After a long road trip to a Veterinary Behaviorist for her own anxiety-ridden dog, Amy decided to make her education of dog training formal. She began the rigorous process to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and took on an apprenticeship to gain the skills and practice needed to help families in their homes and teach group training classes. To date, Amy’s biggest accomplishments are the hundreds of shelter dogs at the end of her leash that have since gone joyfully into the world alongside their forever families.
Aubrey has always had a passion for animals. From rescuing small birds as a child, to teaching her family dogs party tricks. She always knew she wanted to work with animals in some capacity.
Aubrey’s family was very involved in rescue and fostered many many dogs when she was a teenager! She started learning about training to help her fosters find good homes and from there on she was hooked.
From doggy daycares and boarding facilities, to zoo keeping and training at Busch Gardens, Aubrey has worked with lots of different animals over the last several years. She is always expanding her knowledge to help as many animals as possible.
Her biggest passion is rescue and the thing that she values the most about this career is the ability to make a difference in the lives of dogs needing homes!
